When we bought Primrose Farm in Ravensbourne, we weren’t looking for an investment property or a business idea. We were looking for a different way of life.
Somewhere connected to the land. Somewhere our girls could grow up understanding where food comes from. Somewhere we could build gradually over time and genuinely enjoy sharing with family and friends.
What also drew us to Primrose Farm was the feeling that the property already had a story long before we arrived.

Like many old farmhouses in the region, it carries a real sense of history and character that can’t be recreated. You can feel it in the timber floors, the surrounding paddocks, and the slower pace that naturally comes with being out there.
We knew early on that we didn’t want to strip that away or turn it into something overly polished.
Instead, we wanted to preserve what made the property special while gradually building something our own family — and now other families too — could continue enjoying for years to come.
In many ways, hosting has become part of that story.
Primrose Farm isn’t just somewhere people stay for a weekend. It’s a place where people reconnect, slow down, and experience a version of country life that’s becoming harder to find.
And sharing that has been one of the most rewarding parts of building Primrose Farm.
